The "French Tickler" handguards are unique to late production from the final 2 years at the Jianshe Arsenal Factory 26. From the 23 to 24 million serial prefix, or the M21 Designation.
These guns are most often found in excellent condition, and are a nice niche spot to fill in any sks collection.
