The A17R and A22R platforms utilize the same blowback designs of the original A17 and A22 to safely lock the bolt to the rear after each shot. The shooter then pulls the lever ahead of the trigger guard to close the bolt, loading another round. The rifles are available in standard, Stainless Heavy Barrel and Pro Varmint Heavy Barrel options chambered in 17 HMR, 22 LR and 22 WMR. All provide Savage’s legendary accuracy thanks to 20-inch button-rifled barrels and zero-tolerance headspacing.
