The HV-Star is intended for close range defensive use. This load gives shooters an effective option to a lead or copper projectile. This load will lose most of its effective energy beyond 15 yards. The 1.25″ diameter Star has relatively high velocity but has very low mass. The large flexible design collapses on impact and imparts its available energy across a larger surface area than other projectile types.
